What Every Plan Buys, and What It Doesn’t Yet
Everything the product does today is in both plans. So is a plain list of what it doesn’t do yet.
What you get
- Every feature on both plans; they differ only in how many people they hold
- Everyone in the workspace can ask, with no per-seat charge
- Slack, Google Drive and Notion, each scoped to what you choose
- Manual uploads, shared with the whole workspace or only named people, with admin approval for what members add
- Sources under every answer, and only the ones it actually cited
- Permission checks on every question, per document for Slack and Drive
- A freshness verdict on answers, and a flag when cited sources disagree
- Verified answers: a teammate vouches for an answer, so the next person gets it straight away
What it doesn’t do yet
- Read-only. scri8e answers; it doesn’t act on your behalf
- Asking from inside Slack, and an endpoint for your own AI tools, are next
- No SOC 2 report yet, and no self-hosted option
- Notion is visible workspace-wide, not per page
How permissions and data handling work is on the security page.
Stop Any Time. Get the Unused Days Back.
Cancel whenever you like, from the Billing page. You choose when access stops, and you are never charged for days you didn’t get.
- Cancel now
- Access ends that day, and the unused days of the month you paid for are refunded automatically.
- Cancel at month end
- Keep using scri8e until the month you paid for runs out. Nothing goes unused, so there is nothing to refund.
Cancel 10 days into a 30-day billing month. 20 days are unused.
$99 × 20 ÷ 30 = $66.00 back
The full policy, including when the money arrives, is on the cancellation and refunds page.
Before You Pay for Anything
How do the two plans differ?
Only in how many people the workspace holds: Team is $99 a month for up to 15, Business $249 for up to 50. Every feature is in both, and there is no per-seat charge inside a plan, so there is no reason to leave anyone out. Above 50 people, get in touch and we’ll set it up.
What happens when we outgrow Team?
When a 16th person is invited, the owner is asked to move to Business from the Billing page. The move happens at once: the unused days of Team are credited and a full month of Business is charged that day. Nobody is ever removed for going over. Moving back down to Team costs nothing that day; the lower price starts at the next renewal.
Who pays, and how?
The workspace owner subscribes from the Billing page inside scri8e. Payment happens on the hosted checkout of Dodo Payments, our Merchant of Record, so your card details never reach scri8e. Both prices include any sales tax, which Dodo Payments works out.
What does early access mean for billing?
We’re onboarding a few teams at a time. $99 and $249 are early-access prices; if they ever change, a new price never applies to you without notice first.
Is there a free trial?
No. scri8e opens for your workspace as soon as the owner subscribes, and you can cancel any time with the unused days refunded.
What happens if a payment fails, or we stop paying?
If a monthly charge fails, scri8e stays open for 7 days while the owner updates the card. After that, or once a subscription ends, scri8e closes for the workspace until it is subscribed again. Nothing you have indexed is deleted; your sources just stop syncing in the meantime.
Is there an annual plan?
No. Billing is monthly only, so there is nothing to commit to up front and nothing to wait out if it isn’t working for you.
